The association was founded in 1892 and continues to be one of the most active County Associations. It seeks to promote friendship and good cheer among Lancastrians living in and around London.

We arrange events, usually at monthly intervals. These are wide ranging in there appeal and include visits to interesting places some of which are rarely if ever open to the public. In addition we hold dinners, sometimes in one of the City’s famous Livery Halls. We also arrange weekend away and other holiday breaks. Thanks to the Duchy of Lancaster, we hold an Annual Summer Service and a Christmas Carol Service in the Queens Chapel of the Savoy. These are followed by afternoon tea and Dinner respectively.

We do not forget those less fortunate than ourselves and so from time to time we bring to London a party of disadvantaged children from the County Palatine and give them a good day out in the Capital.

The Association has over five hundred members and extends an invitation to those born in Lancashire (the old traditional County) or those who have close links with the County by residence, marriage, or other manner of adoption, to become a Member.
